Scholarships

Academic Excellence Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded each semester based on academic performance.
It applies only to students whose primary major is Media and Communication.
Eligible students are automatically considered, and scholarships are awarded based on academic ranking.

 


 

Financial Aid Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded each semester based on financial need and other considerations.
It applies only to students whose primary major is Media and Communication.
Students must apply separately to be considered.

 


 

Alumni Scholarship

This scholarship is funded by the Department of Media and Communication Alumni Association (President: Namgi Lee, CEO of SBS Media Holdings).
It applies only to students whose primary major is Media and Communication (excluding fourth-year students).
Students must apply separately to be considered.
Applications are accepted in May and October each semester.
One student is selected each semester and awarded KRW 2,500,000.
Students receiving other scholarships during the same semester are not eligible.

 


 

Kim Kitae Scholarship

This scholarship is funded by Mr. Kim Kitae, an alumnus of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication and President of Philippine Airlines.
It applies only to fourth-year students (first semester, including transfer students) whose primary major is Media and Communication.
Students must apply separately to be considered.
Applications are accepted annually in May.
Two students are selected each year, and each receives KRW 5,000,000 (KRW 2,500,000 per semester for two semesters).

 


 

Lim Daegi Scholarship

This scholarship is funded by Mr. Lim Daegi (Class of ’74, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication), Chairman and CEO of the Lions.
It applies only to currently enrolled students whose primary major is Media and Communication.
Students must apply separately in January each year.
Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
One to two students are selected, each receiving KRW 5,000,000 (KRW 2,500,000 per semester for two semesters).
Students receiving other scholarships during the same semester are not eligible.
